“Get comfortable with being uncomfortable.”
This is a direct quote from Jillian Michaels on her Yoga Meltdown DVD and it is ringing true today after two nights of practicing with her.
I. Am. Sore.
It always amazes me when I switch up my routine how many muscles I rediscover. I am loving this DVD. I also went for a quick 2 mile run last night.

I didn’t get a chance to update last night because I was busy making this:
I use the term make loosely because I was a bad, lazy baker last night and used a boxed cake mix and a container of premade icing. What can I say, the cake is for a coworker’s birthday and I didn’t have all the ingredients, or the time, to make one from scratch (and cake mixes and icing were on sale while butter was not). But that doesn’t mean it was made with any less love.
The interesting thing about this cake is that it is the first time I ever, in all my cake-baking life, applied a crumb coat before icing the cake. I have absolutely no idea why I had never known about this very important step until now, but it has changed my cake-decorating life.
Never again will I curse the crumbs that find their way into my icing!
Never again will I painstakingly try to pick the crumbs out of the icing!
Wilton may not think it is very exciting, but I sure do.
I will be heading out for a 4 mile run tonight and if I feel up to it I may attempt a third night of yoga.
I only ask that the clouds come out so I’m not running in an inferno again.
Yum! Oh and no pressure on the cake, I cheat with boxed mixes and pre-made icings at times as well 🙂
Thanks for that advice about crumbs…I will do that the next time I bake a cake-Great Job on the yoga-I have always wanted to try hot yoga, but can't find a class in my area…Kaii528
@helen Phew! Glad I'm not the only one.
@Kaii528 I would love to go to an actual hot yoga class but don't have access to one. For now, I will continue to heat up the house 🙂
